AKQA received one Finalist and five Honourable mentions in the 2022 Fast Company Innovation by Design Awards.

The awards honour the designers and businesses solving the most crucial problems today and anticipating the pressing issues of tomorrow. The competition, now in its 11th year, features a prestigious range of blue-chip companies and emerging startups. Entries are judged on functionality, originality, beauty, sustainability, user insight, cultural and business impact.

Little Signals is a series of interaction experiments and thought starters on how we can foster new behaviours and relationships with our technology. Map Project Office explores how technology can support us in the background of our day-to-day lives, using sound, movement and visual cues that we can subtly perceive.

An online audio stream designed making tennis accessible for 285 million people globally living with a visual impairment to follow games in real-time, using data from a ball monitoring computer vision system with 3D sound design.

Serving as a platform that empowers citizens through data and a portal to access the city community life from an insider’s perspective, with the goal to create more inclusive cities.
